Level 200 Classrooms
BREAKTHROUGH LIVING
BRUCE COOK/PAT MACMILLAN - ROOM 201/202/203
Life lessons from the Kings—a study of the Kings of Judah
will offer biblical insight into the challenges we face everyday:
discerning good advice from bad; recognizing personal blind spots;
avoiding the trap of “half-heartedness;” discerning
God’s will and avoiding the pride trap. Learn about these
and other life lessons that will help us become all God wants us
to be.
FIRST LOOK
JOHN HORTON - ROOM 229 A/B
This is a four-week class designed to orient newcomers to the life
and ministry of The Church of The Apostles. The class covers an
overview of the history, mission, vision, ministries, and facilities
of our church. The First Look class is a requirement for church
membership. To register, please call Melanie Poole at 404-564-6673.
Classes begin: January 6, February 3, April 6, and May 4.
CROSSROADS
RANDY
JACKSON - ROOM 229 C
We are a community of families, typically with young children, seeking
to grow in spiritual maturity. Join us and enjoy fellowship, small
group interaction, and biblical teaching as we strengthen our walk
with Christ through the study of God’s Word.
MATURITY AND MISSION
JAMES
SAXON - ROOM 237 A/B/C/D
This class is designed to guide believers into a lifestyle
of spiritual maturity and mission. This community class will have
the dual focus of building believers in their faith and equipping
them to minister in their daily walks of life. The class is ideal
for new believers and/or those who are new to the church who desire
to experience spiritual maturity that is alive with mission.
IMPACT
REG AND LORI GRIFFIN - ROOM 243
As Christians, God is calling each of us into full-time ministry.
Even though we may provide for our economic support through jobs
and careers, He still places us in the "mission fields"
of the workplace, college campuses, and the communities where we
live and influence others. This call is not limited by age or experience.
Despite his youth and limited experience, Timothy was encouraged
by the Apostle Paul to become one of his strongest and most trustworthy
fellow laborers. Please join us as we take a closer look at 1 and
2 Timothy and see how God calls all of us and places us exactly
where we need to be for His purposes.
JEREMIAH AND EZEKIEL: PROPHETS TO A DECAYING
CULTURE
LEE
HOLSTON - ROOM 244
We will look at the conditions of a people being judged by God—though
they don't realize it fully—by comparing two prophets of the
Babylonian exile. One is in Jerusalem for 40 years leading up to
its fall to Nebuchadnezzar, and the other is in the first wave of
exiles taken to Babylon. What kinds of messages does God send to
a people in judgment? And what hope is there for restoration and
personal safety? It is no accident that among some of the strongest,
darkest words of disappointment and judgment to God's people we
find some of the most remarkably vital words and pictures of the
Messiah's future work—in the history of Israel, and in our
own lives.
STS PARENTS PRAYER GROUP
JOE AND LYDIA LUDWIKOWSKI
- ROOM 246
The STS Parents Class strives to be a primary source of support
for parents of young people in the fifth through twelfth grades. While
we do study the Word each Sunday, our first goal is prayer. We pray
each Sunday for STS, our children, and one another. Our Bible study
centers on topics relevant to parenting in today's culture, which
is increasingly hostile to the gospel. This class is highly recommended
for the parents of students who are entering STS for the first time.
AMERICA’S CHRISTIAN HERITAGE
DAL SUMRELL – ROOM 248
The purpose of this class is to give us a strong foundation by having
a clear understanding of America’s Christian heritage. As
a result, our goal is to increase our faith so that we can trust
God to bring healing and restoration to our nation by securing the
blessings of liberty. This class is both a Bible study looking at
God’s way of blessing nations and viewing the history of the
United States in light of God’s Word. We will discover what
our founders did right as they followed the principles they saw
in Scripture.
Level 500 Classrooms
THE BOOK OF ROMANS
MONTE JOHNSON – ROOM 516
We will be studying the Book of Romans verse-by-verse. Our goal
each week will be to identify the principles of leadership and prayer
that are revealed and lived out by and through Paul’s life.
We will discuss how we can apply the principles we have identified
in our day-to-day lives.
Level 600 Classrooms
PERSONAL PEACEMAKING
BRYAN AND ROSE ALISON - ROOM 607/610
One of the ways God equips and matures believers is through relationships.
In His Word, He has provided us with key instruction on maintaining
healthy relationships, both with believers and unbelievers, with
family, friends, co-workers, and those in authority. Personal Peacemaking
applies the truths of God’s Word to teach us how to maintain
healthy relationships and handle conflicts in a way that honors
God.
2:42: THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS
PAT O’CONNELL/TROY THOMAS –
ROOM 611
Do you ever wonder what God’s ultimate purpose is for His creation?
Paul explains it to us in his letter to the Ephesians. Many of our
problems in this century stem from our living in a postmodern world
where man is absorbed in subjective truth. The main church in biblical
Asia was also struggling with this very problem. Paul sets out in
Ephesians to explain the truth about Christ, the Cross, and God’s
ultimate plan for His creation. The 2:42 class meets for fellowship,
prayer, and the study of Scripture, (from the example of the believers
in Acts 2:42). We are open to anyone desiring to explore the uncompromising,
inerrant Word of God.
APOSTLES@WORK: A WORKSHOP
CHARLIE PAPARELLI/RANDY HALL - ROOM 612/613
In this workshop we will equip, encourage, and support you
as an ambassador for Christ in your work-life. We will work together
on defining your personal ministry at work and learn how to use the
tools God has given us to be confident and effective. ANSWERING
GOD’S CALL
BOBBY MITCHELL SR. – ROOM 614
Does God still call people today? That’s a penetrating question,
but the question we really need to ask is this: “Is God calling
me today in the 21st century?” To find out, come join us as
we study various Biblical characters and how God calls each person
uniquely. We will look at the five elements of a call and learn
how they apply to us. Hopefully, we will help you determine God’s
call on your life.
DOCTRINAL FOUNDATIONS
STAN CARDER – ROOM 615
This course is a summary overview of Christian doctrine, and is
formatted to serve as a short course in systematic theology. This
class is a must for all leaders who open the Word of God in any
setting, whether in a Sunday morning class or small group Bible
study, whether teaching children, youth, or adults. This is an essential
course designed to equip leaders with a thorough understanding of
the doctrines that are foundational to the whole counsel of God.
BUILDERS: MINOR PROPHETS
AL ELMORE - ROOM 616
This adult Bible fellowship is a community of believers
growing together in faith while encouraging and supporting each
other. Members participate in fellowship and outreach activities.
This winter the group will encounter the living Word through a study
of the Minor Prophets.
DISCIPLES: LIVING IN INCREASINGLY SECULAR TIMES
JIM VILLWOCK – ROOM 617
Our society is changing. Our nation is looking more like the Corinth
of the Apostle Paul’s day: Corinthians worshiped many gods,
carried an intellectual arrogance, and lived in pervasive sensuality.
If our society is moving in similar direction, then how can we respond?
How do we live during increasingly secular times? To find out, we
will begin by looking at Paul’s first letter to the Corinthian
church and see how the Bible strategically applies to our lives
on a daily basis.
YOUNG FAMILIES COMMUNITY CLASS
DAVID WATSON - ROOM 620–623
Our class is dedicated to community, beginning with a continental
breakfast at 8:45 and concluding with small group discussion. The
class explores the deep truths of Scripture for the sake of making
us better spouses and parents because we are becoming more passionate
followers of Christ. Our purpose is life-change in the context of
the Body of Christ.
DIGGING DEEPER
JIM REIMAN - THE COMMONS (MONDAY NIGHTS)
Digging Deeper is a community Bible study for adults of all ages—single
or married. This in-depth study is for people who are looking for
practical ways to apply scriptural truth to their lives. The current
study is the book of Isaiah taught by Jim Reimann. Digging Deeper
meets in the Commons on Monday nights from 7:00 to 8:30.
SMALL GROUPS
These classes are small groups of people
(12 or less) that meet together for fellowship around the Word of
God. Each study emphasizes growth in practical wisdom that flows
out of what is being studied. For more information, please call
Joe Ludwikowski at 404-591-2481 or email jludwikowski@apostles.org.
CROWN FINANCIAL
For Crown Financial small group
information, please call Stan Carder at 404-564-3146, or email him
